Could the fact that my son was anemic as a baby/toddler explain why he is bruising so easily now?
My 6 yr old son bruises way to easily....as a baby/toddler he was anemic and I thought he had grown out of this...I am going to take him to the doctors but I thought I might get some advice from other parents. Any ideas if childhood anemia could be the culprit?
When i was younger i was also anemic. Throughout my life i went in out out of being on the "borderline of anemia." I don't know if this is the reason for bruising, but I too have problems with it. A light bump into a table will give me the bruise the size of manhatten.:)
I just recently had my bloodwork taken and everything is fine. I think it could definately have something to do with his anemia but you are doing the right thing by bringing him to the doctor. No worries.
