Disc golf?
I'm just getting into the sport.
i Ive been just throwing a Frisbee around for the last 10 years and started to get into Ultimate a few years ago.
I'm going to try to just throw a 175g on the course i'm going to tomorrow.
is that a big deal???
is disc golf much different the ultimate with throw types and stuff?
The problem is the nearest course is like an hour and half away.
any input would be great

i have a decent throw and can throw a ultimate disc 200 ft accurately on an open field
and their are no courses on long island
ultimate discs will work fine for a casual round every once in a while, but if you ever wat to take up disc golf as a hobby, you will need to invest in some actual golf discs. i've never thrown an ultimate frisbee, so i dont know how far they can go, but i pretty consistently throw over 400 feet with my drivers.
give it a try and see how you like it.
