How to maintain my pump-free inflatable pool?
I have an inflatablte "family pool" (10x3). I recently used bleach to clean but have switched to chlorine. The problem is that its so cloudy you cant see the bottom. How do I get it to not be so cloudy?. The only articles I have read have pertained to pools with a pump, and this doenst have one!
You need to get a pump and a filter if you want to keep the water in the pool for anything longer than a few days. Your best option is to keep draining the pool and starting over.
This is going to sound gross, but stick with me here... your pool is a few hundred gallons of water at most. A couple of kids with sunscreen on get into the pool. The sunscreen washes off eventually. The kids also sweat, shed dead skin cells, body oil and whatever bodily fluid you want to imagine into the pool. It is going to be coludy no mater how much chlorine you add to the pool because chlorine will break down only so much 'stuff'. If you want clearer water, the only options you have are to either drain the pool and re-fill every few days or so, or get a pump and filter that will help strain out and trap the oils and whatever else gets in the pool to keep the chlorine from working so hard. Chlorine alone will not handle what you are asking it to do.
