I want to join the marines but I don't know how to swim is swimming a requirment if not will they teach you ?
and how do they teach you? What if a person wanted to join the navy would swimming be a requirement if not would they teach you and how do they teach you?
depending on your MOS or your occupational specialty will depend on how much you need to know how to swim. the basic swim qualification requires you to do no morethan dogey paddle, tread water for a certain amount of time and a few other small things that arnt to hard even if you dont know how to swim. you onle have to swim 25 meters or so and thats not very far. if you dont know how to swim the instructors will teach you at that the time of your swim qualification
